is placed on activities outside the planned work in the
classroom. Students are encouraged to participate in all
their years at ABA, from the Kindergarten to the Matric
Section and Montessori to the O' level Section. By doing so,
they develop individual talents and utilize their own
initiative and organizational skills.
In all the Sections except Montessori and O'levels a vibrant
Scouts and Guides program, regular PE, band practice, class
excursions and a variety of charitable efforts are part of
the colorful program of activities. ABA has its own feature
that every child has a role in the eagerly anticipated
School Annual Program.
As they gain in years and maturity, students are encouraged
to take more responsibility in organizing some events
themselves. There is a wide variety of activities, ranging
from the very competitive House matches in sports of all
kinds, athletics, rowing, debating, drama, s other cultural
and recreational societies, supervised social activities,
supporting charitable causes, not to mention a few
activities just for fun. Students also take part in
national and international competitions,
Students with leadership potential are designated Monitors,
House Captains and Prefects, with duties attached, starting
in the Junior Section. They play a valuable role in making
links between the student body and the administration.
Students leaving ABA undoubtedly take with them many
memories and experiences of much besides academic work.
